OpenStreetMapは自由な地図として、地球上のあらゆる地域がストリート単位の精度で描かれています。作成を手がけている人々はマッパーと呼ばれ、マッパーたちのコミュニティはいまも拡大を続けています。 OpenStreetMapの編集には誰でも参加できます。参加するにはどのようなことが必要か、LearnOSMではOpenStreetMapへの参加方法や地図の使い方、そしてデータそのものの使い方をわかりやすく、簡単な内容から段階を追って解説しています。また、OpenStreetMapに関するワークショプを開催してみようというかた向けに、LearnOSMではトレーニングリソースを用意しています。
