検索エンジンといえばGoogleというイメージもありますが、マイクロソフトの「Bing」やヤフーの「Yahoo!」もGoogleに追いつけ追い越せとばかりに、日々奮闘中。ライフハッカー過去記事「ジーナ・トラパーニが語る『私がGoogleからYahoo!に切り替えた理由』」でも触れたとおり、実はYahoo!とGoogleの検索結果はそれほど差がないという見方もありますね。 では、どの検索エンジンが相応しいのでしょう? これをサクっと教えてくれるのが「Blind Search」。Google・Bing・Yahoo!のロゴやレイアウトを隠した状態で、それぞれの検索結果を並べて表示してくれるというツールです。 冒頭の画面のように「ライフハッカー」で検索してみたところ、3種類の検索結果が表示されました。どれも微妙に違いますね。では、どの検索エンジンがどの結果を表示しているかわかりますか? 正解は以下

reflexaについて 連想検索エンジンreflexa(リフレクサ)は、情報の海を見渡すための新しい手段を提供します。コトバとコトバのつながりを元に、今まで知らなかった新しい情報を探索していくための検索エンジンです。 まずは、reflexaでの検索の様子を見てみましょう。 画面の左側には、reflexaエンジンが自動的に抽出した、入力キーワードと関連の深い単語を表示します。この左側のパネルに表示されていくキーワードをクリックしていくことにより、数珠つなぎのように、関連するキーワードを調べていくことができます。 例えば「google」というクエリをいれると「Gmail」「検索エンジン最適化」「SketchUp」「検索エンジン」「ページランク」「グーグル」「Maps」「AdWords」「タイポスクワッティング」といった単語が連想され、Wikipediaのページとしては「Google」「Goog
