Following up yesterdays’ piece about Pocket Casts’ Remove Silence feature. I did some experiments and recorded the output of original, Pocket Casts Remove Silence (1x) and Overcast’s Smart Speed (1x). The difference is dramatic. Here’s the text in Japanese: スターバックスの、パワーマットアライアンスやってるところの CEO のインタビューなんですけども and in phonetic: Starbucks no, Power Matto Aliance yatteru tokoro no CEO no interview nandesu
This is an annual post describing my method of making podcasts. For comparison, see the 2014 January post as well. Room I was recording the show from my desk at my loft for a long time, but switched to doing it in my walk-in closet. This helps eliminating the ambient noise from the street, as well as completely shuts off echo because of the clothes in the closet. Hardware Shure BETA 57a ($130) Mac
If you’re on iOS, Apple Podcasts app is a fine app, especially now that it supports displaying Show Notes natively but if you subscribe to dozens of podcasts here’s a list of podcast clients I recommend you to try: Overcast — iOS Pocket Casts — iOS/Android Castro — iOS Player FM — Android All of them support variable speed playback, offline playback, display show notes inline and push notification

Most podcast client application like Overcast or Pocket Casts displays them in the playback screen. Apple Podcasts app probably is the only major podcast client application that doesn’t display HTML in their U

Rebuild A Podcast by Tatsuhiko Miyagawa. Talking about Tech, Software Development and Gadgets.
