ジェフ・ヒューストンのブログより。 少数グループの大規模コンテンツ配信プラットフォームの重要性と、今日のインターネットにおけるその重要な役割については、これまでも多くのことが言われて来ました。最近では、少数グループのコア・コンテンツ・プラットフォームの1つがサービス停止に陥ると、今年の6月にFastlyとAkamaiの両方で障害が報告されたように、主流のニュースになります。Akamaiの場合、6月に発生した障害は、オーストラリアの大手銀行3行、国営郵便局、国の準備銀行、航空会社1社に影響を及ぼしました。オーストラリアからさらに遠く離れたところでは、停電は香港証券取引所といくつかの米国の航空会社に影響を与えました。影響を受けたサービスのロールコールは、このAkamaiの障害により、約500のサービスに達したようです。今月初めに発生したFastlyの障害では、一連の人気のサービスが1時間以上に
