クラウドコンピューティングがいつ始まったのかについては、世の中に明確な定義があるわけではありません。ここで3つの候補を時代順にあげるとすれば、1つ目は代表的なクラウドサービスの1つであるSalesforce.comがサービスを開始した2000年。2つ目はAmazon.comがAmazon Web ServicesのサービスとしてAmazon S3を開始した2006年3月。そして3つ目は当時Googleのエリック・シュミット会長がネットの向こう側にあるサービスを「クラウド」と呼んでいると発言し、クラウドという言葉が広まるきっかけとなった2006年8月です。 偶然にも2006年に3つのうち2つが入っていることもあって、2016年はクラウドが登場して10年と言っていいのではないでしょうか。 Amazon S3の登場からちょうど10年 そしてちょうど今日2016年3月14日は、2006年3月14日
