突然ですが、フリーの波形メモリシンセサイザー「Chip32」を使って 同じく波形メモリ音源が使われていたドルアーガの塔の音色の再現にチャレンジ。 波形メモリ音源というのは、もの凄くローテクノロジーなPCM音源のような物で、 他の一般的なシンセサイザーはオシレーターが波形を発生させるのに対し波形メモリ音源は メモリから波形のデータを読み込んで再生する方式です。 今回使わせてもらうChip32は「VSTi」という規格のプラグインで、 それ単体では動作できずホストとなるアプリから呼び出して使います。 ホストアプリも非常に高性能なフリーソフトが沢山あり、同様に高品質なフリーのシーケンサーや波形編集ソフト、 フリーのVSTi（主にシンセやリズム音源）、VST（エフェクター）を組み合わせて頑張れば全部タダでできます。 Chip32は文字通り絵を描くように波形を描け視覚的に音が作れるの
