未婚男性の「不幸」感が突出して高い日本社会
＜日本では未婚率が上昇しているが、未婚男性の「不幸」感は諸外国と比較すると抜群に高い。日本の未婚女性と比較してもその差は大きい。伝統的なジェンダー観が根強い日本では、未婚男性が幸福を感じにくい社会になっている＞ 社会意識調査の定番の設問に「あなたは幸福ですか？」がある。性別や年齢別の比較、最近では正規雇用者と非正規雇用者の間で比較されたりするが、既婚者と未婚者でくらべてみるとどうなるだろうか。 日本では未婚化が進んでいるが、「結婚がわずらわしい」という意識の変化と同時に、結婚したくてもできないという、非自発的な要素も大きいと考えられる。そうだとすると、「不幸」と感じる者の割合は、既婚者より未婚者の方が高いと思われる。年齢を重ねた中高年層にあっては、特にその傾向が強くなるだろう。 世界の主要国で、30～50代の中高年男女の不幸感がどう違うかを、既婚者と未婚者で比較してみた。＜図1＞が、そのグ
