欧州警察機構（ユーロポール）は1月31日、過去2年間に欧州に到着した子どもの移民のうち1万人以上が行方不明になっている可能性があることを明らかにした。ユーロポールは、政府機関によって登録された未成年者の多くが姿を消しており、子どもたちが犯罪組織によって性的搾取の対象にさせられたり奴隷労働に従事させられている懸念があると警告している。

覆面のストリート・アーティスト、バンクシーがロンドンのフランス大使館前の店舗外壁を覆う板に描いた壁画の保存にグーグルが動いた。壁画はフランスのカレーに足止めされた移民・難民が当局によって不当な扱いを受けていると批判する内容だった。壁画は開発業者によって撤去されたものの、直前にグーグルのストリートビューのチームが撮影。ウェブ上で壁画は存在し続けることになった。
