最近、図書館史を専門にしているわけではない友人たちが、続々と図書館史関係の優れた発表をしていて、焦っている。 図書館系勉強会KLC 「図書館史を勉強したい!教科書分析編」(発表者:min2flyさん) 図書館研究所あるいは「図書館の頭脳を持ちたいという夢」について(kitoneさん) 本来私だって焦るほど専門ともいえないのだが、図書館史勉強会の事務局なども引き受けているので、今回は「なぜ図書館史なのか」ということについて、個人的な出発点を書いてみたい。 むろんここに書かれることは私個人の動機であって、勉強会総体の意志では全くないし、勉強会にはむしろいろいろな関心の方が参加していただいて議論したほうが面白いと思っているので、あくまで私見ということをお断りしておく。 もともと私は、大学・大学院で日本近代の思想史を専攻していた。図書館でのアルバイト経験はあったが、図書館情報学を専攻したわけではな
