XMPP とは Posted in (RSS) 「XMPP」 は、インスタント・メッセージング（IM）などで使用される XML ベースのプロトコルで、IETF によりインターネット標準の IM プロトコルとして認定されています。 僕自身は IM をほとんど使用したことがありませんが、「Google Talk」 や 「iChat」、「Sun Java System Instant Messaging」 でも採用されているようです。 InfoQ にクラウドなWebサービスのプロトコルとして 「XMPP」 が非常に適していると力説した記事が紹介されていたため、興味を持ちました。 少し調べてみたら、オープンソースの ESB である 「Mule」 では、「XFire」（現在は 「Apache CXF」 に統合） を用いて、SOAP サービスを 「XMPP」 で公開することもできるようです。ESB は
