バチカン図書館で発見された江戸時代のキリシタン禁制に関する文書約1万4000点を調査する「マレガ・プロジェクト」の研究会が18日まで、文書にゆかりのある臼杵市で初めて開かれた。 文書はイタリア出身のマリオ・マレガ神父(1902~78年)が布教先の県内などで収集したもの。臼杵藩での改宗者の記録などがあり、国や県などが同図書館と共同でプロジェクトを進めている。 研究会はバチカンで収集されたデータと、市所蔵の臼杵藩史料を突き合わせるのが目的で16日に始まり、大友一雄・国文学研究資料館教授や松井洋子・東京大学史料編纂所教授、佐藤晃洋・県立先哲史料館長ら15人が参加した。 市文化財管理センターで17日、研究の様子が報道陣に公開され、重臣たちが藩の出来事を書き残した「 御会所日記 ( ごかいしょにっき ) 」など約4000点の中から抜粋した史料を写真に収めるなどした。 大友教授は「今回の調査で新しいキ
