自動車の製品寿命延長、二酸化炭素削減に大きな効果
自動車の環境対策は走行時の二酸化炭素排出削減ばかりに注目が集まっているが、製品寿命を延ばすことで二酸化炭素削減に大きな効果があることを、九州大学大学院経済学研究院の加河茂美主幹教授、大分大学経済学部の中本裕哉講師らの研究グループが突き止めた。 そのモデルを使って日本の乗用車の物理的寿命、新車の経済的寿命、中古車の経済的寿命を調べたところ、3つの寿命を10年間延長することで排出される二酸化炭素量がそれぞれ30.7メガトン、26.4メガトン、5.2メガトン削減できることが明らかになった。 研究グループは二酸化炭素の排出削減に自動車の寿命延長が効果的だとし、修理が容易でより長く使用できる設計、メンテナンス市場を活性化させるアフターサービスの充実、燃費の優れた自動車を長期間利用する意識づけなどが必要としている。 論文情報：【Journal of Industrial Ecology】A gener
