去年９月７日の早朝。福岡市の九州大学で火災が発生した。現場は、大学院生が使う研究棟。所狭しと研究室が並ぶ「院生長屋」と呼ばれる場所だった。キャンパスの移転で、取り壊しが始まるやさきに事件は起きた。焼け跡から遺体で見つかったのが、Ｋ、46歳。九州大学の博士課程まで進み、９年前に退学した男で、誰もいなくなった研究室に放火し、自殺したと見られている。九州大学は、Ｋが利用資格を失った後も、無断で研究室を使っていたと説明した。 ともすれば、この事件は注目を浴びることもなく、忘れ去られていたかもしれない。しかし事件後、その死をめぐり思わぬ波紋が広がった。ネット上に、「あすはわが身」など、Ｋにみずからの境遇を重ね合わせる研究者たちの悲痛な叫びがあふれたのだ。Ｋの死が投げかけたものはなんだったのか。私たちはその人生をたどることにした。（報道局社会番組部ディレクター 森田徹／福岡放送局ディレクター 水嶋大悟

詐欺事件で服役している元タレントの羽賀研二受刑者が、被害者の賠償にあてられる不動産の差し押さえを免れるため、妻に財産分与したように装ったとして、警察は、強制執行妨害などの疑いで逮捕する方針です。 羽賀受刑者は、未公開株の売買をめぐる詐欺事件で知り合いの男性から３億7000万円をだまし取ったなどとして懲役６年の実刑が確定し、現在、服役しています。 ３年前、裁判所から被害者の男性におよそ４億円を賠償するよう命じられ、その２か月余りあとに財産分与していたということです。 警察は、男性の告発を受けて捜査を進めていましたが、財産分与は差し押さえを免れるための偽装だったとして、強制執行妨害などの疑いで逮捕する方針です。

厚生労働省で不適切な統計調査が明らかになる中、金などの流通量を毎月公表する「貴金属流通統計調査」でデータの一部に誤りがあったことが分かり、所管する経済産業省は今月中をめどに修正を行うことになりました。 このうち、平成15年以降のデータの一部で、月や年の初めの在庫の数量が記載されていなかったり、年末の在庫の数量が、誤って１月から12月の在庫数量を足し上げたデータが記載されたりしていたということです。 去年11月に、外部の事業者からの指摘で分かったということです。 経済産業省は、マニュアルの不備による担当者の引き継ぎ不足や計算ミスなどにより、誤りが常態化していた可能性があるとして、今月中をめどに修正を行い、正しいデータを公表するということです。 貴金属流通統計調査は、政府が特に重要な統計として位置づけている「基幹統計」には該当せず、経済産業省は、来年度の予算案や政府のほかの統計などに影響はない
