特定の色を透明にする背景の透過表示や、複数の画像を1つのファイルに収めてのアニメーション表示、ファイルの読み込みが進むにつれて画像を表示する「インターレース表示」といった機能を備えた画像ファイルフォーマットとして知られる「GIF」の設計に携わったコンピューター科学者のスティーブ・ウィルハイト氏が、2022年3月14日、新型コロナウイルス感染症(COVID-19)のため亡くなりました。74歳でした。 Stephen E.
