無償のWebグループウエア「GroupBoard Workspace 2007」が備える新機能
マイクロソフトの「GroupBoard」は，「サイボウズOffice」などに対抗すべくマイクロソフト日本法人が独自に開発したWebグループウエアである。2001年3月に第1世代がリリースされ，11月21日には第4世代となる「GroupBoard Workspace 2007」がリリースされた。新バージョン最大の特徴は，完全に無償化されたことである。 GroupBoardの第1世代は「Exchange 2000 Server」の追加製品という位置付けであり，Exchange 2000 Serverのユーザーしか利用できなかった。第2世代で2002年にリリースされた「GroupBoard 2.0」からは単独製品となった。GroupBoard 2.0自体は無償で配布されたが，運用するサーバーに「FrontPage 2002」のコンポーネントである「SharePoint Team Services

MS、SharePoint向けForefrontのβ版を発表
米Microsoftは9月28日、企業向けコラボレーション技術「SharePoint」用のウイルス対策サービス「Forefront Security for SharePoint」のβ版を発表した。Forefrontは、同社が2005年のSybari買収に伴い取得したセキュリティ製品「Antigen」をベースに開発されたもの。複数のウイルス対策ソフトを同時に動作させることができる。 Forefront Security for SharePointは、「Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007」と「Windows SharePoint Services 3.0」に最適化される。同時に動作させることのできるウイルス対策ソフトは5つで、Microsoftが新しく導入するセキュリティ製品Microsoft Antivirusも含まれる。 Forefront
