Skiping installation of ri and RDoc documentation while installing gems | WebOnRails
Probably most of the time you would like to skip ri and RDoc installation while installing some new gems, specially on production server. I do like to skip ri and RDoc documentation while installing gems on my development machine, because it takes more time to generate ri and RDoc then actual installation of gem. Ruby BarcodescannerはRuby製のフリーウェア（ソースコードは公開されている）。携帯電話にはカメラがついているので、外で写真を撮るのも手軽だ。そうした外部の情報をアップロードして楽しむサービスは数多い。書籍のバーコードを使って楽しむサービスも面白い。実行した所携帯電話自体にバーコードスキャナーの機能があればそのまま使えるが、それがない場合は別途連携を考える必要がある。例えばRuby Barcodescannerを使ってみると良いだろう。Ruby Barcodescannerは画像を読み込んでバーコードスキャンを行うRubyライブラリだ。元になるのが画像というのが良い。写真やスキャナーで取り込んだ画像をそのまま利用できる。画像の取り込みにはImageMagickを使い、実際のスキャンはzbarというオープンソースのバーコードライブラリを使っている。Ruby Barco

SCE解散へ　これから何が起こるのか考える - 東京のはじっこで愛を叫ぶ
2月24日、衝撃的なニュースが流れました。SCE解散です。「ソニー、SCEのネットワーク部門を吸収合併」ソニーは2月24日、ソニー・コンピュータエンタテインメント（SCE）のネットワーク部門を4月1日付けで吸収合併すると発表した。ネットワーク事業の強化が目的と説明している。まずSCEをSNEプラットフォームという名称に変更。ゲーム機やソフトの開発、販売部門については「株式会社ソニー・コンピュータエンタテインメント」という商号の新会社に承継する。その後、SNEプラットフォームをソニーが吸収合併する。現SCEはソニーの100％子会社。2009年3月時点で104億7200万円の債務超過に陥っている。今回の再編はこの債務の解消も狙ったものとみられる。 http://japan.cnet.com/news/biz/story/0,2000056020,20409284,00.htm PS3が
