筆者のモバイルミュージック環境は、初代iPodを発売日に購入した後、iPod mini、iPod shuffleと、Appleとともに小型化路線を突き進んできた。携帯デバイスにとって軽量小型化は望ましい方向ではあるのだが、どうも面白くないのは、iPod shuffleの場合、一緒に使って楽しい周辺機器が少ないことだった。 iPodやiPod miniは、その総出荷数量の多さや、本体価格がある程度することから、周辺機器市場が賑わっている。パソコンやPDA、携帯電話などの主に個人で使う製品の場合、周辺機器の品揃えが本体の売れ行きにも影響するものだ。 ところが、iPodシリーズの末弟のiPod shuffleは、「モバイル環境で、シンプルにデジタルミュージックを再生する」という最低限の機能を極限まで切り詰めたサイズとコストに押し込んだオールインワンの割り切り型商品である。マニアックにこだわりたい
この夏、旅行に連れて行きたいiPod shuffle用小型スピーカー 気になるアクセサリー TUNEWEARの「BOOMTUNE mini」は、三脚型のユニークなスピーカーだ。今回はこの製品を使用した感想を書いてみる。なお、写真のiPod shuffleは以前紹介した「Flip Clip」を装着しているが、これは僕がうっかり外し忘れただけで、スピーカーとは関係ないので悪しからず。 この形は、どう見てもiPod shuffle用だろう。もちろんiPodなどにも接続して使うことは可能だが、上の写真のようにiPod shuffleを逆さに接続するのが一番スマートだ。3本の足のうち、2本にスピーカーが内蔵されている。もう1本の足には単4型の電池が1本収まり、最大で約10時間、連続駆動できる。電源スイッチは足の内側部分にあるのだが、オン・オフの状態が見づらいのが難点だ。スイッチを入れると緑色のLE
