最近、GMailの閲覧にはMailPlaneを使っている。β版の間は無償で利用できるのだが、非常に便利なソフトウェアだ。GMailはブラウザだけで使えるという利点もあるが、プロセスが分かれていた方が便利である事も数多い。 Windowsでも同種のソフトウェアがあるのだろうかと思ったら、オープンソースで存在した。 今回紹介するオープンソース・ソフトウェアはGmZilla、Geckoエンジンを利用したGMail専用ブラウザだ。 GmZillaはXULRunnerを利用することでGMail専用ブラウザを実現している。実行ファイルを起動すると、GMailの画面が開く。外部リンクは通常利用しているブラウザで開かれる。 この手のソフトウェアの利点は、プロセスの独立はもちろん、それに伴うセキュリティの強化（SSLも常時利用する）や、専用プラグインの導入が出来るという事が挙げられる。GmZillaも、Go
