Google、世界を舞台に謎のエネルギーと戦うモバイル拡張現実ゲーム「Ingress」をβリリース
米GoogleのNiantic Labsは11月15日（現地時間）、AR（拡張現実）機能を採用したAndroid向け無料オンラインゲーム「Ingress」をGoogle Playでβ公開した。Ingressのページから参加を申し込める。 Google Playの説明によると、欧州の科学者らが“Niantic Project”で発掘した謎のエネルギーによって人類が危機に瀕しており、プレーヤーはオンラインで互いに協力しながらこのエネルギーと戦うというストーリー。MMORPG（多人数同時参加型RPGゲーム）の一種で、NianticはMMMMORPG（マップベースのモバイル版MMORPG）と定義する。Android端末のカメラで現実世界を表示すると、現実世界に潜む謎のエネルギーが見えるので、これと戦う。同じ場所にいるプレーヤー同士は位置情報で互いを認識できるので、協力して目標を攻撃できる。
