NHK連続テレビ小説「あまちゃん」のロケ地となっている岩手県久慈市でゴールデンウイーク中、市内の観光施設などの利用者数が前年比2倍の約11万5千人に上ったことが市の調べで10日、分かった。 「あまちゃん」効果で、全国から観光客が押し寄せたためで、ロケ地の一つ、海女センター周辺では車の乗り入れ規制を実施した。市の担当者は「海女の実演がある夏にはさらに増えそう」と予想している。 市によると、海女センターには4月27日から5月6日の10日間に1万人以上が訪れた。昨年7~9月の利用者数は約4900人で、今年は10日間だけで2倍以上。バスに人が乗り切れず、さらに増便した日もあり、「まるでお祭り騒ぎ」と担当者。 ドラマに登場する「北三陸鉄道」のモデルとなった三陸鉄道も同様だ。GW中の計7日間にロケで使われた「お座敷列車北三陸号」を運行したが、5月3~6日の4日間は満席になった。
