Q: Why "make sure to implement P3P if using iframes" ? A: If your application is inside iframe with parent belongs to another domain - cookies will not work for some very common configurations for example IE 6/7 with privacy set to medium. If cookies don't work - session won't work. Therefore session state turns out useless for your application under Internet Explorer. See - Privacy in Internet Ex

Then I got to the matter of Safari... at the moment the only option I can see is having browser detection within the code and disabling cookie support for Safari. *Note* Safari seems to be the only browser that tries to re-authenticate for every page click resulting in a double redirect (with cookies disabled) Chrome works (cookies enabled) but the Cavas Page URL changes to add in the ?session={}
