What is it? iNES is a port of InfoNES (http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley/5604/infones/) to the iPod to allow LEGAL NES ROMS to be played on the iPod. How Much Progress? Somewhat far, a lot of progress has been made thanks to ErUs. It does work, but it is very slow. It can run almost full screen for iPod video but older iPods only uses half of the screen. It can fully run about 6 ROMS, while
5g (320x240)Nano (176x132) BleuLlama has put up some screenshots of it running on his Nano in his gallery here: http://www.umlautllama.com/gallery/ipl/IMG_0630 BleuLlama is also working on some Nano-sized arcade cabinets, and graphics rom hacks to get it looking better on the tiny screen. He's got a web page about the project which you can check out here: http://umlautllama.com/projects/nanomame/
Structure Podzilla is basically a core, which provides many programming interfaces and such but very little functionality visible to the user, plus modules, which do the fun stuff. Everything that can be a module, is. Modules can be either compiled into podzilla or loaded from disk at runtime; they are loaded from /usr/lib on the iPod. They can be packaged in a special .pod format that bundles a m
Description pdPod allows the creation of interactive musical applications for the iPod. It integrates Pure Data (http://www-crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/software.html) a visual sound programming language by Miller Puckette (http://www-crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/) which allows the rapid develoment of musical applications. Guenter Geiger (http://gige.xdv.org/) has made PDa (http://gige.xdv.org/pda/), a port of Pure D

This page outlines the specs and support status of all iPods. For an outline of the current features in iPodLinux, see Project Status. This is likely the most complete iPod specification sheet on the Internet. Note: Items that are not officially supported have had some success with the devs, but you should only consider installing iPodLinux on those generations if you are an advanced computer user
The title of this article should be iTunesDB. The initial letter is capitalized due to technical limitations. This page details the format of the binary files used on the iPod to keep track of the music it contains as well as its play history. Collectively we refer to these files as the iTunesDB however there are in fact a number of files, each with their own format, that make up this database. No
The Apple Accessory Protocol is used for communication between the iPod and serially connected accessories (such as the Remote, iTalk etc). The protocol was introduced with the 3rd generation iPods, and at present it is assumed is also compatible with the 4th generation iPods and mini iPods. (The Dock Connector provides access to this communication channel as well.) The connections uses a standard
Welcome to the home of the iPodLinux Project (https://sourceforge.net/projects/ipodlinux/)! iPodLinux is an open source venture into porting Linux onto the iPod (https://www.apple.com/ipod/). So far, we have successfully ported a customized uClinux (http://www.uclinux.org) kernel to the iPod, and written a simple user interface for it dubbed podzilla. Additional applications and modules have been
1 - Will be inverted with backlight on. (this is a general issue that doesn't just affect the Video Player.) As of right now this only plays **UNCOMPRESSED PRE-CONVERTED** videos. One of the sample videos was playing upside down because I forgot to flip it when it was encoded. Any distortion of videos (such as flipping) is due to the encoding of the video. There is limited A/V sync which should wo
